Brady receives NASPO Security Accreditation

MILWAUKEE, WI (February 26, 2004) - Brady (NYSE:BRC) Corporation, of Milwaukee, well known for its wide range of identification products solutions, has been accredited by the North American Security Products Organization (NASPO) as a secure provider of anti-counterfeiting, anti-diversion, and tamper-protection products used by major manufacturers to protect their product brands. NASPO is an organization that has established security standards and audit procedures for its members in the security products industry.

"The North American Security Products Organization takes great pleasure in recognizing Brady Brand Protection Solutions to be among the first to achieve NASPO security certification. This recognizes that Brady has met, or exceeded, through a rigorous onsite security audit, the requirements for their security classification. It is an achievement that supports their dedication to providing a recognizable level of security to their customers, suppliers and employees," says NASPO Chairman of the Board, Michael O'Neil. He continues, "NASPO's goal is to bring an organized structure and creditability to a critical industry in the United States and Canada. Brady Brand Protection Solutions exemplifies those goals."

To obtain NASPO accreditation, products used for authenticating and protecting brand name goods must be developed, produced and stored in a highly secure environment. The facility, personnel and processes are all scrutinized to ensure NASPO's high standards are being met.

"Brady Corporation is committed to investing in the research, development and production of brand protection materials on a global level. Many of our customers have come to us for solutions to the escalating problem of counterfeiting of name brand products," says Brady's Vice President Matt Williamson. "In our current political climate, the need to produce products that are both tamper-indicating and confirm authenticity is increasing. The NASPO certification is one way Brady can ensure our customers that we have a secure manufacturing environment that is worthy of their trust."

The North American Security Products Organization (NASPO) is a non-profit, member-supported organization that accredits and qualifies: 1) security product manufacturers and providers, 2) their suppliers, and 3) their customers as operating under an agreed-upon set of operational standards, specifications, and protocols within the security products community.
